Zach Merritt

After getting his broker’s license in 1999, Zach worked with Bill Stirling at Stirling Homes, Inc. and 16 years later they reunite.  Zach returns with a broad spectrum of experience from across the country to enhance our Stirling Peak Team. Closing several hundred transactions and overseeing more than 2,000 office transactions, he is a seasoned and accomplished professional broker.

Zach relocated to Denver in 2002 where he built an incredibly successful real estate team, eventually becoming Team Leader/CEO and the Employing Broker for 148 agents at Keller Williams Realty – Downtown Denver. Not only did he personally sell hundreds of properties, his team was consistently in the top 2% of associates in the Denver Board of Realtors.

Six years later, owners of the Northern California Keller Williams relocated him to Carmel to turn around their Monterey Peninsula market center.  It took two years of hard work, but the offices flourished once again and Zach returned to his hometown of Aspen with a wealth of resort market knowledge.

His personal sales continued steadily in the Roaring Fork Valley with over 75 transactions in just four years.  This is largely due to his lifetime of local knowledge and deep understanding of the market nuances. As an Aspen native, Zach grew up watching the town grow, evolve and change. His local acumen, coupled with a national network of brokers, past clients and high-net-worth individuals make him an ideal resource.

Zach serves as the Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Aspen Board of REALTORS, has earned a Council of Residential Specialists accreditation, fewer than 3% of REALTORS® nationwide share this professional designation, and is a Certified Negotiation Expert.

Zach and his wife, Bonnie, an interior designer, live in Snowmass Village with their daughter Elin. When not serving clients, he can be found skiing, biking, golfing, fly fishing, and hiking.
