Max Taam

An upstate New York native, Max visited Aspen during college and returned the moment he graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He couldn’t be happier to be in a REAL townIN the mountains, so immersed himself in outdoor adventure by joining the Aspen Mountain ski patrol. But this was just the beginning.

The combination of his adoration for the mountain lifestyle and his incredible determination have propelled him to compete at an international level. Being on the US Ski Mountaineering Team since 2010, winning the 2015 US Ski Mountaineering National Championships or taking the podium in ski, bike and running in our local Aspen Snowmass Power of Four race series are a few of his many recent accomplishments.

Competing at this level has taught Max the drive, dedication, and training it takes to achieve peak performance. He applies himself to real estate just like athletics, with an incredible commitment to achieve maximum success for his clients. This combined with a gift for listening and connecting with people, insane attention to detail, and resourcefulness make him a superb broker.

Sharing his deep-rooted passion and unique knowledge of the Roaring Fork Valley with his clients brings Max great joy. He truly embodies the Stirling Peak Properties philosophy of “Because we love it, we can help you live it.” He has even been known to pedal with clients from showing to showing, so they can breathe the fresh air of the Roaring Fork Valley while finding their perfect property.

His passion for cycling manifested into a coaching business in 2010. It has flourished because of his long-term relationships with clients; taking him across the globe and back. Watching clients continue to progress in their cycling and fitness, as well as growing their excitement in the sport, has been very rewarding for Max.

Max also has a passion for international travel – climbing volcanos in Mexico, cycling remote areas of Laos, and ski mountaineering racing in the Alps. He developed a working proficiency in French while on a ski patrol exchange at Chamonix. Although Max has travelled extensively to mountain regions throughout the world, he has yet to find a place as special as Aspen.
